Parents and students are encouraged to attend together! Choose one of the following workshops: 1. Current Drug Trends: What you need to know. Appropriate for parents and students grades 6-12. Topics include social host laws, vaping awareness, and the prevalence and dangers of opioid use. Offered in partnership with Smithtown Horizons and Youth Bureau and the Suffolk County Police Department. Keynote by Dr. Jeffrey Reynolds. 2. Personal Health and Protective Factors: Building resilience and wellness for families. Appropriate for parents and students of all ages (K-12). Workshop stations include Parent/Child Partner Yoga, Eating for Energy, Mindfulness for Communication and Relationships, and Social and Emotional Learning in Smithtown.
